More About: Instruments of the Angels

Charming but quiet Brie van Rossum feels incredibly isolated after losing her socialite mother in a plane crash. She has no relationship with her absentee rockstar father, and her friendship with her older brother Pilot is strained because she can’t tell him the truth about the scariest part of her life—she’s developing incredible magical abilities that she doesn’t know how to control.

When the paparazzi starts stalking them through Manhattan, she and her brother are forced to retreat to Honolulu, Hawaii to live with her father. Here, she learns that her intense magical powers are not just because she is a Hallow, a descendant of the archangels, but because she is a secret lost princess of the archangel Michael’s lineage. Her mother’s family was not just royalty in the magical world, the Archworld. They ruled all of the magical lineages until someone came along and murdered the family to claim the highest throne as their own.

Her mother, the woman she thought she knew, has betrayed her. She never told her the truth about who she really is, and she never prepared her for magic or crowns or a great war to take back her throne. And now, if she wants to protect her brother and loved ones, she’ll have to fight against her enemies who want the daughters of Michael dead for good.

And then, there is him. Her older brother’s off-limits best buddy, Rykken. Devoted. Loyal. Really  good looking. But he studies her too closely for the secrets she needs to keep, and she wonders if he has secrets of his own that might help them get through all of this alive.

Can Brie learn to control her powers fast enough to lead the wars to come in this strange, new, magical world?
