(July 27th at 2pm Central) Week 1: Apple Books Basics – If you are moving from KU to wide or are a newly published author, this week is ideal for you.

(Aug 10th at 2pm Central) Week 2: Apple Books Intermediate – If you have your books at Apple Books but have done nothing specifically at that retailer to optimize your catalog, this week is ideal for you.

  • Advanced search optimization at Apple Books

How the Classes Work:

  • Each class will last at least 90 minutes but no more than 2 hours.
  • The classes will be a mix of lecture + demonstration + asking and answering questions. I strongly encourage you to bring your questions, because this is a chance for me to look at your catalog on Apple Books and offer specific feedback for improvement.
  • The classes will also follow the book, Get Your Book Selling on Apple Books. You will receive a complementary digital copy of this book (ePub and PDF) as a part of your registration for any of the parts.
  • The classes meet on Zoom and you will receive links to join the meeting space ahead of time.
  • All classes will be recorded.
  • If you are unable to attend live, you can still engage! You will receive recordings shortly after the live course.
  • You will be able to download the recordings permanently from a Dropbox link shortly after each live class.
  • During the eight weeks, you can post your Apple Books questions in the Go Wide, Grow Wide Facebook group (free to join) or our paid membership, depending on what you have access to. Please tag @Monica Leonelle to defeat the algorithms and help ensure I see your question!
  • Go Wide, Grow Wide students are invited to attend all sessions as part of their course package (please register if you intend to come live). Recordings will be placed in the Go Wide Grow Wide course if you are not able to attend live.
  • Please note: this is an unofficial Apple Books course. Monica Leonelle is not a representative of Apple Books in any way. There will be no Apple Books reps teaching anything within this course. It is for authors by an author.

Engagement Through Question and Answer:

  • Engagement through questions is an important aspect of this course. I am happy to regurgitate information that is already written in Get Your Book Selling on Apple Books, but it is more useful and interesting for everyone to look at actual catalogs on the storefront and diagnose specific challenges.
  • Please submit questions ahead of time so I have time to research answers if needed.
  • Please bring your questions to the live session and consider if you want me to look at your catalog on Apple Books.
  • Please ask follow up questions afterward in the Go Wide, Grow Wide Facebook group or the Go Wide, Grow Wide Circle group (if you have access). Tag me (Monica Leonelle) to make sure the post beats the algorithms and she sees it!

How to Decide Your Level:

  • I’ve tried to provide guidelines to help people understand what level they might be at with Apple Books. You are free to take all levels, and I strongly recommend it!
  • That said, I don’t want anyone to feel like they are listening to a bunch of stuff they already know. I’ve tried to make the class a natural progression while also helping people decide which specific sessions are worth their time and energy investment.
  • I ultimately recommend finding your course level (what you want to learn) and at least grabbing one level above and one level below. So if you know you are at the Basics level, also grab the Intermediate level. If you know you are at the Advanced level, also grab Intermediate and Expert.

Pricing:

  • Each course is $69 before it goes live. You can grab all four sessions for $199.
  • If you’ve missed a date, you can still grab the recordings afterward for $99 each or $279 for all four.
  • This course will only be taught live at most one time a year and may never be taught again (depending on demand).

Privacy:

  • Everything is recorded. Please keep your microphone on mute and remove or change identifying images and names if you do not want them to be on the recording.
  • You may ask questions in the chat and I do my very best not to use your name (I instead say, “someone is asking…”).
  • If you have a specific question about your catalog, your catalog will be shown on screen and I will say your pen name(s) on the recording.
  • If you need true privacy, it may be best to schedule a one-on-one. I am happy to record those for you just for your personal use, but you can also choose not to record. I do not share any identifying information from one-on-one consults with anyone else.

Results Expectations:

  • I cannot guarantee any results from taking this course. You are 100% responsible for your results.
    • Results require coming to the classes, engaging with questions, and doing the follow up work and tasks from a combination of your notes and Get Your Book Selling on Apple Books.
    • Your results will also depend on your catalog, branding, and quality of product. These aspects will not be covered inside this course in detail, nor will we spend much time on them.
    • Your results will further depend on how much you have already implemented. Advanced and Expert level students have already implemented a lot of the material, and the monthly gains may be lower than for someone who has done no optimization.
  • Potential results:
    • Authors who have worked with and implemented my retailer books consistently report being able to increase and even double their sales at each retailer.
    • I have designed the course so that diligent students who do the work can make their money back from this course within a few months of taking it.
